Shannon Lee

I have always loved photography and the idea of capturing a moment. At a young age I fell in love with antique cameras, I loved how they worked, how they artistically translated an image. By the time I was a young adult I dreamed of being an environmental film maker. I envisioned my life traveling to remote destinations all over the world, with nothing but film equipment, a pair of boots and a back pack! While attending college to pursue my degree in film making, I quickly discovered that photography was my true passion. I'm a very visual person, so for me seeing photos tells me a story that can be read without words; I love seeing couples and families engaged in special moments, creating family history along the way. My goal from that moment on was to utilize my passion, creativity, and unique photojournalistic eye to provide you with real, unscripted, elegant yet powerful images. I believe photographs give us something special, the ability to capture a moment in time. They allow us to hold onto that moment, to embrace it and to share it for generations to come. Truth be told you tell the story and I create your memory.

When working with Shannon during my shoot; first off I want to say that she not only took photos but had a look in mind and created it all on her own. She did my hair, makeup and positioned the look of the dress I was wearing. I felt comfortable with Shannon taking photos of me, which for me is very important because I am very camera shy. She made me feel confident and we had fun while shooting which allowed me to relax. She had an image in mind and I think she did a phenomenal job of creating that image for her photographs.
